David Hicks
High School Principal
We seek to ensure the best for our students’ in terms of academic achievements
and their commitment and involvement in community welfare projects. For example,
this year the school had the best IB Diploma results in Dubai and possibly the wider
Gulf region. We have also been crowned football league champions, our students
recently won the World Scholar’s Cup regional event, we have competed well in
MUN events and our students even organised and hosted our own TEDx talks.
As faculty, we make significant use of information such as the school’s performance
in international benchmark assessments (PISA, TIMSS and PIRLS) as well as
our school’s KHDA inspection reports to drive our ongoing school improvement
planning.
How do you prepare students for the future and
encourage innovation and creativity?
Amber Singh
Deputy Principal (Curriculum)
High School
Both the IB Middle Years Program
and the IB Diploma Program require
students to undertake self-directed
tasks such as the Personal Project
and the Extended Essay. In addition,
all students in the High School are
required to be involved with, and to
reflect on, their Community and Service
activities. It is a holistic curriculum which
builds both academic skills through
inquiry and personal development
skills through these self-directed tasks.
Employers seek staff who are able to
contribute to an organisation using
both of those skills sets: knowledge in
a specific area coupled with an ability to
innovate and create, thereby helping to
move organisations forward.

Primary School
The IB philosophy is to develop
inquiring, knowledgeable and caring
young people who help create a better
and more peaceful world through inter
cultural understanding and respect.
With these aims in mind, EIS Primary
is an effective platform to provide a
continuum of international education,
through the PYP Framework, and
develop autonomous learners in
preparation for transition to Secondary
school learning and beyond. EIS is truly
an International School which promotes
positive cultural learning opportunities.
To ensure students are fully prepared
for the future, our enriched curriculum
collaboratively
embraces
all
stakeholders through a shared ethos
and vision.
