Kids Tennis Clinic with
Fabrice Santoro
The children’s
Tennis Clinic at the
Habtoor Grand Beach Resort and Spa
was an exciting event for kids between
the ages of 8-15, who got to perfect
their tennis technique with Fabrice
Santoro.
The retired French player had a long
professional tennis career and holds
several ATP records – including having
the most appearances in a singles
competition at 70 Grand Slam events.
Santoro earned six single titles in his
career; including two Grand Slam
doubles titles and one Grand Slam
mixed-doubles title.
Santoro, who was famously dubbed
'The Magician', is widely remembered
for his unique style on court where he
often switched from left to right hand
during play. Joining Fabrice and the
children on the court were three other
tennis professionals: Ivica Ancic, a
former Davis Cup player and now the
Recreation Manager at the Habtoor
Grand; Kira Nagy, first-ever female
champion of the Al Habtoor Tennis
Tournament Championship in 1998,
and now Senior Tennis Coach at the
Habtoor Grand; and Selima Sfar, a
Tunisian professional player. Two other
well-known players hosted another
Tennis Clinic in December. Coverage
