Congratulations to
our
students from EIS Meadows for
securing a 1
st
and 3
rd
place victory at
the Ignite Kelloggs Aquathlon held at the
Kite Surfers Beach, Umm Suquiem on
Friday, November 15, 2013.
The event was the fifth race of the sports
series and hosted categories including,
juniors (200m swim and 800m beach
run), open (800m swim and 5km), sprint
(400m swim and 2km beach run), and a
3km beach fun run.
Tarek Adel (Year 11) and Francis Jamin
(Year 8) represented the School in the
200m swim/800m sprint (12-15 age
category). Tarek worked hard to secure
gold in this year’s event with a winning
time of seven minutes and 15 seconds.
Frances Jamin who has gone from
strength to strength proudly secured
a 3
rd
place finish with a time of 08:56.
Great effort was also displayed by the
EIS Meadows girl’s team - Nur Misha
Ashiqin, Sarah Abada, and Katharina
Daghistani. Keep up the great work!
