The Al Habtoor Group also participated
in this year’s Arabian Travel Market
(ATM), the region’s largest travel and
tourism event. The three-day exhibition
was held at the World Trade Centre
from May 5-8, 2014. Running in its
21
st
year, the show received over
17,500 visitors and featured over 2,500
exhibitors showcasing a wide range of
hotel accommodation options, global
tourism attractions and new airline
offers.
The Al Habtoor Group’s main display
included the model of the latest
project - Al Habtoor City. The unique
development will add more than 3,000
hotel and residential units on one plot.
It will include three Starwood branded
Hotels: the St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai
- Sheikh Zayed Road and the Westin
Dubai.
Habtoor Hotel’s existing portfolio - the
Habtoor Grand Beach Resort and
Spa, the Metropolitan Palace Hotel,
the Metropolitan Hotel Deira and the
5-star, Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm
Jumeirah were also exhibiting at the
event. The Group also has two hotels
in Budapest and two in Beirut.
When visiting the stand the Chairman
met with Lebanon’s newly appointed
Minister of Tourism, His Excellency
Michel Pharaon. He stated that “The
Al Habtoor Group looks forward to
cooperation with Minister Pharaon to
help the tourism sector in Lebanon
in any way we can, based on our
successful experience in Dubai and
the UAE.”
