Students and staff at EIS-Jumeirah met
with Shaikh Dr. Muhammad Ayada Al -
Kobaisi Grand mufti at the Department
of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work
in Dubai at the school campus on
October 28, 2015.
EIS-Jumeirah and EIS-Meadows each hosted grand
celebrations and entertainment to celebrate this year’s
National Flag Day with more than 1,600 students and
visitors at both schools.
This year’s celebrations included a tribute to the culture
and of this great nation the UAE, traditional Emirati
dances and performances on the stage, traditional
Emirati food, Henna painting, camel rides, and dressing
up in traditional Emirati dresses.

More than 60 students from the Islamic
Studies Department and parents
attended the seminar, including
members of staff, Philip Burgess,
School Principal, Steve Hughes, High
School Deputy Principal and Walid
Semaan, EIS Housing and Licensing
Manager. The topic of the assembly
was the promotion of peace through
education and justice on the occasion
of Hijrah and Ashoor.
