Habtoor Hotels
The highlight of the week was meeting
the Al Habtoor Group Chairman,
Khalaf Al Habtoor. Other activities
included tennis, squash and dancing
lessons, visiting the pastry kitchen,
entering a cold room, inspecting
the kitchen ovens and the dough
machines, which included lectures
on the importance of food safety and
hygiene.
As part of making the experience
fun and memorable for the children,
the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort &
Spa team revealed, “The cold room
temperature is as low as around 4ºC,
so we told the students to imagine
they are part of a Harry Potter story,
visiting a dark cold cave. They were
very excited about it. Our Pastry Chef
made it even more exciting for them
by switching off the light in the cold
room for a few seconds to create
excitement for them.
Many of them said it was their best
field trip ever and one of the best
hotels they have been to, even better
than the Atlantis! They look forward
to coming back to the hotel with their
families and spending their birthdays
and other happy moments here.”
