Water is your body’s principal
chemical component. Water
flushes toxins out of vital
organs and carries nutrients
to your cells. If you don’t
drink enough water, your
body won’t function at its
best. It will also affect your
electrolyte levels (sodium,
potassium and others). Your
kidneys need to work harder
if there is insufficient water
to carry electrolytes around
your body. A healthy person
should drink a minimum of
88-( 10-ounce) glasses per
day (more if you exercise a
lot or live in a hot climate).
