kidney pie triumphed nine of its
competitors, including those

the Grocer, The Crown and Lion,
Public Café, More Café, Rivington
Grill, Dubliners, and The Ivy and
Nezesaussi Grill.

Chef Paul Hage and his team of
talented chefs have done it again!
Winning a total of 12 medals - nine
bronze, two silver and a gold - at the
2014 Gulfood Awards.
Gulfood is the world’s biggest annual
food and hospitality show in the region,
carrying this year’s theme ‘International
Flavours, World Class Business’.
Running in its 26th year, the foodie
exhibition featured 110 international
pavilions with over 4,500 exhibitors
from February 23-27.

who has been shortlisted by the
Hotelier Middle East Awards 2013 in
the category ‘Executive Chef of the
Year’.
Chef Paul has extensive experience and
qualifications in the hospitality industry,
having worked in many reputed hotels
in Lebanon, where he was born. In
2005, he was promoted to Executive
Chef of the Habtoor Grand Beach
Resort and Spa and is now in charge
of 17 food and beverage outlets within
the Habtoor Hotels portfolio. With all
that in mind, and the fact he was voted
Best Manager in the internal Employee
Survey conducted in March 2013,
Chef Paul was a clear contender in the
Hotelier Middle East Awards last year.
