Emiratisation
ahead
Emiratis traditionally
are
employed in the public sector. But
that’s about to change. The UAE
government plans to significantly
increase the number of Emiratis in
the private sector this year. It’s part
of an Emiritisation initiative launched
by the President His Highness Sheikh
Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, called
‘Absher’.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President
and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai, said recently, “The year
2013 will be a year of creating jobs for
UAE nationals. This will be a national
priority for which all efforts must unite”.
The Absher Initiative calls on the
private sector to take part (voluntarily)
in advancing Emiratisation.The initiative
is based on four pillars:
- Job creation
- Training
- Encouraging nationals to the private
sector
- Introducing incentives in the private
sector.
