EEA 2019 Manual

• Liaising with the Coordinator of the EEA programme to submit the nomination pack to the Awards Board for final review and selection of winners. • Post-event, suggesting updates to the programme and the manual of the EEA programme based on the comments of the AWC members, and presenting these changes for the Awards Board consideration. SELECTION OF THE AWC MEMBERS All employees are allowed the opportunity to be part of the AWC. Their names are submitted to the HR department, and are considered for selection only upon presenting a written approval from their HoDs to participate in the committee. Every business unit is required to have a local AWC consisting of a minimum 3 members, headed by a team leader selected by the head of unit. The team leader is the point of contact between the AWC, the Audit Board and the Director of the AWC. It is recommended for units with more than 500 employees to have a minimum of 5 members in the AWC. It is advisable to have one member on the waiting list should any AWC member fall out, or is unable to carry out his role. The involvement of an employee as a working committee member is purely voluntary and they may give in their names to their respective HoDs in response to a circular that will be sent out by the HR Head or Unit Head. AWC members are entitled to be nominated for any EEA award, whether individual or group awards. An AWC cannot include 2 or more members from the same department, if that department is nominated for a departmental award. 9
