AWARDS WORKING COMMITTEE ROLE OF THE WORKING COMMITTEE The Awards Working Committee (AWC) is responsible for the right implementation of the EEA programme, creating awareness at the local unit level about the different award categories, and providing assistance to the different HoDs in the nomination process within the business unit. The responsibilities of the AWC include, but are not limited to: • Reviewing and understanding the manual of the EEA programme as provided every year at the start of each EEA season. • Introducing new awards, measurement criteria and processes to HoDs, Human Resources Departments and colleagues at the unit level. • Ensuring all the HoDs have a clear understanding of the nomination process and providing them with all the required forms for the nominations. • Monitoring the process at the unit level to ensure adherence to the set timeline of the awards programme. (See page35) • Reviewing the nominations at local level in collaboration with the Audit Board member at the unit, to ensure all nomination requirements are met and submissions are compliant with the awards guidelines. Nominations must be initialled by all the AWC members. • Ensuring that minimum three nominations are submitted for the Individual and Departmental Awards per business unit. • Once approved by the head of the business unit, or their representative, submitting the nomination pack for the unit to the Audit Board for final review and scoring in a timely manner. This is done in coordination with the Coordinator of the EEA programme, Ms Liezl Reamillo – Lumanlan. 8
