EEA 2019 Manual

• The Director of AWC will review all the submissions of the units and select only the welfare options that have no financial or minimal financial impact on the unit. • AWC Director will present the recommended welfare options to the Awards Board who in turn will get the approval of the Chairman of the EEA programme on the suggested welfare options. • The most viable 4 – 5 options will be voted on during the last week of April. The most-voted for welfare option will be implemented at the business unit for a period of 12 months. • The selections for the ECB are individual to the unit, irrelevant of what the other units have selected. • The voting is done using pre-printed forms containing all the shortlisted welfare options. Habtoorians are requested to select one welfare option only and drop in it in the voting box / booth. • Employees who voted will be asked to sign in the HR-provided list containing the names of all employees. • Voting booths will be set-up at the local HR / administration offices at the business unit. The voting procedure will be supervised by the AWC. • Once the ballot is completed, votes are counted and opened in the presence of a member of the Audit Board. • The results are handed over the Awards Board for confirmation prior to the internal announcement at the unit. In the following pages, you will find a list of acceptable welfare examples (with minimal or no-financial impact on the business unit), and a list of unacceptable welfare examples (with a large cost on the business unit). 44
