EEA 2019 Manual

The Employee’s Choice Ballot (ECB) was introduced to create a platform for Habtoorians, where they can vote to add a welfare option that will affect their happiness and comfort at the workplace, and which is not included in their regular company benefits. Every new EEA season, employees get to vote for their choice which will be in effect for a period of the 12 months. The ECB was created to provide opportunities for employees on an annual basis to vote for a new welfare option. Habtoorians can chose to vote for the welfare option selected in the previous 12 months period. Welfare options / adjustments are recommended by the staff, shortlisted by the higher management to 4 or 5 options, and then voted on by the staff in the form of a ballot to select one option for the upcoming 12 months. The ECB should take place in April of every year, after the EEA ceremony, and the voted-on welfare option be implemented over the following 12 months. Prior to the EEA ceremony of the following year, testimonials can be filmed with Habtoorians across the Group to talk about the impact of the ECB on their welfare and overall happiness. PROCEDURE • AWC will explain the ECB to the staff of a business unit in coordination with the local HR team. • Non-managerial staff in every business unit will provide their welfare topics suggestions to their HoD during the first two weeks of April of every year. • HoD will hand over the welfare topic suggestions to the HR to review with the head of the business unit.
