CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD (SCHOOLS) AWARD OBJECTIVE The objective of the award is to motivate the academic units to: • Showcase ‘academic excellence’. • Encourage and motivate educators. • Create an environment that nurtures an entrepreneurial spirit and sustains excellent standards of school management and governance. AWARD CRITERIA This award will go to the outstanding academic unit that best demonstrates: • Strong growth in enrolment numbers and/or KHDA rating • Innovative strategies • Market leadership in its sector The focus will be on provided evidence of inventiveness, ethical credentials, good stakeholder relationships and long-term planning balanced by the flexibility to deliver consistent results in dynamic market conditions, for the last academic year. 27
